An Independent (ULFA-I) trained cadre surrendered in front of the Laju Police in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.
After interrogation, the Arunachal Police handed over the surrendered cadre to the Assam Police.
According to sources the cadre was identified by police as Padmalochan Das,who hails from Nalbari district.
As per reports,the cadre was appointed as Staff Officer under ULFA(I) Major General Jivan Moran, which is second-in-command of the faction of the ULFA led by Paresh Baruah.
