“Voice of people of NE has been heard”

Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma has emerged as the real hero after Citizenship (Amendment) Bill lapsed in Rajya Sabha.

Here’s what he said after the big development:

“I think it was the effort of all the political parties, all the organizations and movement from every level that is really led to stall the bill at the Rajya Sabha. So I don’t want to go to the details things, but I can tell you that efforts were made at different levels and that has really ultimately culminated to what has happened today and I think credit goes to all the organizations, all the political parties that have worked day and night to reach out to different leadership of different political parties and we are happy that ultimately the sentiments of people and the voice of the people of the northeast has been heard.”
