The Students' Federation of India (SFI), Assam unit will observe aUniversity Gherao programme on August 30 in Gauhati University against theuniversity's irregularity.
The SFI, while addressing a press conference alleged that the universityauthorities have made conspiracy towards destruction of the education system inthe university and that massive irregularities have taken place in it.
The students' federation alleged that there has been misconduct in the resultof degree results and that many students have faced backlogs in many subjectswithout any reason and also the results have also been withheld.
It has been further stated that the degree results have also beendeclared lately by the university and that there is a dangerous consequences inthe semester system.
The students' federation further stated that the university has notdeclared the result of the backlog examination since one and a half years andalso alleged that the classes are not conducted even for 40 days in a year.
The students' also informed that there is no system of special backexam in degree level in the university.
