A large number of people thronged markets in Guwahati to buy necessary food items. There has been no report of any violent incident in Guwahati during the last 48 hours. Security forces are maintaining a strict vigil across the city to avoid any untoward incident.
Also, long queues were seen outside the handful of ATMs that had some cash in them, and even these ran empty quickly. ATMs have not been replenished with cash for the past three days. According to reports, internet services to remain close till 9 AM on Monday.
Meanwhile, another protester injured in police firing in Guwahati dies after succumbing to his injuries in GMCH. The victim has been identified as Iswar Nayak.
