In ashocking incident, Sivasagar police on Friday recovered a suicide note from thequarter of a government employee, who has been missing since last three days.Identified as Diganta Saikia, the assistant engineer of water resourcedepartment suspected to have committed suicide following work-load of NationalRegister of Citizens (NRC).
DigantaSaikia in his suicide note wrote that he took the decision due to "ignorance ofknowledge" that gave him "mental pressure". He was engaged in the NRC (Claims& Objection) related work.
However, his body is yet to be recovered, informed police official. "Until and unless we receive the body, we cannot say that he committed suicide," said the police.
Earlier, a missing report was lodge by his wife at the Sivasage Police Station on May 15th. His wife and 12-year old daughter live in Torajan area of Jorhat town.
