One COVID-19 patient succumbed to the disease on Monday in Charaideo's Sonari.
The deceased has been identified as one Yusuf Ali of Rajpukhuri. Ali was the principal of the Middle Assamese School in Sonari.
According to the state government data, one death has been reported to date while there are seven active coronavirus cases.
