A special force will soon be appointed for the protection of rhinos in Assam, which will be known as the ‘Special Rhino Protection Force’.
This force has been specially trained for the protection of the rhinos.
The first team of the ‘Special Rhino Protection Force’ will be deployed in Kaziranga, where more than 100 trained personnel will protect rhinos against poachers.
It may be noted that it was last year that the Assam government had appointed the jawans. In the end of the training period, the force will take oath today. Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya is slated to be present at the oath ceremony.
