The first-ever Guwahati-Dhaka flight service has been started on Monday by Spicejet from Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar which has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Spicejet Airlines has formally started the flight service under the IACS scheme.
The daily flight will depart from Guwahati Airport at 11: 35 AM and will arrive Dhaka Airport at 1:20 PM. One must take into consideration of time difference between Guwahati and Dhaka by 30 minutes as Bangladesh time is half an hour ahead of Indian time.
Simultaneously, the flight which will depart from Dhaka Airport at 2:10PM will arrive Guwahati Airport at 2:35 PM.
The commuters can fly at a very cheap rate from Guwahati to Dhaka and vice-versa. The travelers can travel from Guwahati to Dhaka at Rs. 3355.
Although the Assam Government has taken the initiative of introducing flights to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Yangoon and Kathmandu but initially the service has been started to two foreign countries.
