Good news for the people of the State as Assam Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday announced several schemes for the State. Addressing the people in Lakhimpur during his Independence Day speech, Minister Sarma said that State government to bear all the surgical expenses of the patients in ICU.
Sarma also announced that Japanese Encephalitis to come under Atal Amrit Yojana. The Minister informed that the scheme will come into effect from next October.
Minister Sarma also announced that State government will provide Rs. 50,000 to the students of the State as one-time financial assistance within September. He further announced to provide upto Rs. 2.50 lakh subsidy to the people in house-loan.
He also said that the constructions of two bridges over Brahmaputra will begin from October next. The bridges will connect Guwahati with North-Guwahati and Gohpur with Numaligarh.
