Bollywood Actor and former girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty appeared before Enforcement Directorate on Friday for questioning in the money-laundering case related to the death of Rajput.
The ED had earlier summoned Rhea to present herself today for questioning. The ED earlier said that they hadn't received a response from Rhea. However, the latest visuals prove that Rhea arrived at the ED office as instructed. She was accompanied by her brother Showik Chakraborty and father Indrajit Chakraborty.
The ED has been investigating the money-laundering case in Sushant Singh Rajput's death ever since his father, KK Singh filed an FIR at Patna's Rajiv Nagar Police Station. Earlier today, they had summoned Rajput's friend Siddharth Pithani for questioning as well. Prior to that, the ED had questioned Rajput's house manager and Rhea's associate Samuel Miranda, as well as Sushant Singh Rajput's CA Sandeep Sridhar.
While Rhea was summoned for questioning today, she had requested a postponement of recording her statement till her Supreme Court hearing. The ED, however, has rejected her plea.
The ED had lodged a money laundering case against Rhea on July 31 in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Top officials had told India Today TV that Rhea and her other family members were booked by the ED under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
