Few days after the video of a face-off between two top Assam government officers inside a hotel complex in Kokrajhar district drew attention among various section of society, the Assam Civil Service organisation has demanded the suspension of Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh after a meeting of hundreds of ACS officers.
It may mentioned here that in ashocking CCTV video that is doing the rounds, SP Singh is seen allegedlyassaulting the executive magistrate inside a hotel complex in Kokrajhar. Theentire incident took place on the intervening night of September 9 and 10. TheCCTV footage was made public recently by RTI activist Dulal Bora.
