Tajia Violence | Accused released on bail


The Dibrugarh CJM court has granted bail to the accused in the violence during Tajia rally in Dibrugarh. 

The Dibrugarh police had arrested two persons under several charges of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in connection with the incidents of vandalism during Moharam procession in Assam’s Dibrugarh town on Tuesday.

The accused were Furkan Hussain and Javed Akhtar Khan Alias Azad Khan.

Tensed situation erupted in Dibrugarh town after a group of people gheraoed the Dibrugarh Police Station on Thursday afternoon demanding instant release of the accused.

The accused were released on a bail bond of Rs 20,000 (Each).
