Tej Hazarika and his family are in Assam on a visit to their home town after receiving 'Bharat Ratna' on behalf of his father late singer-composer Bhupen Hazarika on Thursday .
Tej and his wife Candace Hazarika visited Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Kshetra, this evening (Aug 10). They were accompanied by Nripen Hazarika (Bhupen Hazarika's younger brother) and Dawar Hazarika (Nephew of Bhupen Hazarika).
The Dr Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Khetra Memorial is a tribute to the legendary Assamese singer Dr Bhupen Hazarika. It is located on the way to the airport and quiet well maintained. There is also soft music playing all rounds to make the visit more pleasant.
Bhupen Hazarika was conferred India's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna by President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Thursday. The legendary musician's son Tej Hazarika received the highly prestigious award on his behalf.
