TET exam: Women police win hearts by taking care of babies

Two women police constable have won the hearts by takingcare of babies as their mothers were sitting in the examination hall for the AssamTeachers Eligibility Test (TET) 2019.

The incident took place at Don Bosco High School examination centre in Mangaldoi. The women police have been identified as Binapani Deka and Mouchumi Sangma.

According to reports, before entering into the examhall, the TET aspirants handed over their babies to the women police personneldeployed to guard the examination hall and both the women constable took careof the babies till their mothers came out of the examination hall.

It may be mentioned here that a total of 2,30,482candidates have applied for Lower Primary TET examination and 1,66,079candidates have applied for Upper Primary TET examination. The Education Departmenthas asked the police department to deploy adequate security personnel andensure frisking arrangements at the entry point of each exam centre and escortparty during transit of exam materials.
