At least 14 people had been injured including a young girl in a shooting that took place in Toronto at around 10 pm on Sunday.
The gunman who opened fire outside a restaurant in Greektown neighbourhood is reportedly dead. A person who was near the crime scene has claimed that he heard 20 shots and the sound of the gun being reloaded repeatedly.
According to Toronto Police, victims have been sent to different trauma centers and the young girl has been admitted into a pediatric trauma center.
Toronto Police has shared on Twitter that apart from the suspect, 14 people were shot and among them one female has been killed. However, an official press release is awaited.
The Mayor of Toronto, John Tory has expressed his condolences through a tweet, "While our city will always be resilient in the face of such attacks, it does not mean such a cowardly act committed against our residents is any less painful – this is an attack against innocent families and our entire city."
