Train running suspended in Barak

Due to heavy rain, the Railway track was severely affected on at km 110/4-5 between Jatinga Lumpur – New Harangajao station in Lumding – Badarpur hill section under Lumding Division of N.F. Railway. The settlement occurred at about 09-30 am of 12 July making it unsuitable for train movement.

The repairing work has already started on a war footing and senior railway officers are camping at site monitoring the restoration work. But heavy rain is continuing in that area which has adversely affected restoration work.

It is now expected that the restoration work will be completed by 19" July if the weather condition remains conducive said Pranav Jyoti Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of NFR.

As a result, many trains are either cancelled or short terminated as given under:

1. 15612 DN Silchar – Guwahati Express of 17.07.2019 & 19.07.2019 will remain cancelled,
2. 15611 UP Guwahati – Silchar Express of 18.07.19 & 20.07.2019 will remain cancelled.
3. 55615 UP Guwahati – Silchar passenger will remain cancel till 19.07.2019.
4. 55616 DN Silchar – Guwahati passenger cancel till 20.07.2019.
5. 13173 UP Sealdah – Agartala Kanchanjunjha Express leaving Sealdah on 16.07.19 will be short terminated at Lumding and will remain partially cancelled between Lumding to Agartala. 13176 DN Agartala – Sealdah Kanchanjunjha Express will originate from Lumding towards Sealdah on 17.07.19 as per time table timings and will remain cancelled between Agartala and Lunding.
6. 13175 UP Sealdah – Silchar Kanchanjunjha Express leaving Sealdah on 17.07.19 will be short terminated at Lumding and will remain partially cancelled between Lunding to Silchar. 13174 DN Silchar – Sealdah Kanchanjunjha Express will originate from Lumding towards Sealdah on 18.07.19 as per time table timings.
7. 13173 UP Sealdah – Agartala Kanchanjunjha Express leaving Sealdah on 18.07.19 will be short terminated at Lunding and will remain partially cancelled between Lunding to Agartala. 13176 DN Agartala – Sealdah Kanchanjunjha Express will originate from Lumding towards Sealdah on 19.07.19 as per time table timings and will remain cancelled between Agartala and Lunding.
8. 12515 UP Trivandrum – Silchar Express which left Trivandrum on 14.07.19 will be short terminated at Guwahati and will remain partially cancelled between Guwahati to Silchar.
9. 12508 DN Aronai Express will remain cancelled between Silchar to Guwahati and will originate from Guwahati towards Trivandrum on 19.07.19 as per time table timings.
10. 14020 UP Anand Vihar – Agartala TRIPURA SUNDARI EXP. leaving Anand Vihar on 15.07.2019 will be short terminated at Guwahati and will remain cancelled between Guwahati to Agartala.
11. 14019 DN TRIPURA SUNDARI of 18.07.2019 will remain cancelled between Agartala to Guwahati and will originate from Guwahati towards Anand Vihar on 19.07.19 as per time table timings.
12. 01665 UP Habibganj – Agartala special leaving Habibganj on 17.07.2019 will be short terminated at Guwahati and will remain cancelled between Guwahati to Agartala.
13. 01666 DN Agartala – Habibganj special leaving Agartala on 20.07.2019 will originate from Guwahati on 21.07.2019 as per time table timings and will remain cancelled between Agartala to Guwahati.
14. 20502 UP Anand Vihar – Agartala RAJDHANI EXP. Leaving Anand vihar on 17.07.19 will be short terminated at Lunding and will remain partially cancelled between Lurding and Agartala.

Announcements are being made regularly in major stations to make passengers aware about cancellations and short terminations.
