Assam Police arrested two more persons in connection with the attack on Tinsukia BJP district president Lakheshwar Moran.
Top official of Tinuskia police informed that the arrested have been identified as Lohit and Mukesh Phukan. However, police have not yet confirmed any association of the arrested with AASU. More arrested are expected in the course of day.
Earlier, three others were also arrested in connection with the incident, where an angry mob attacked Tinsukia BJP president on Wednesday.
Meanwhile situation is calm and police have been keeping a close eye on the development. The BJP will stage rally in protest against the incident in Guwahati on Friday.
