The centuries-old Ugratara temple's idol was handed over to the temple authorities by Latasil police on Thursday.
The thieves namely SamsulAli, Rahul Ali, Adil Ali, Mintu Roy and San Hussain will be under policecustody for 4 days.
According to the membersof the managing committee of Ugratara Temple, "The original idol willundergo some repairs before being installed in its original place in thetemple. And for the timing the old idol is place in a temporary location".
