ULFA Threatens To Attack on I-Day: Deepak Kumar
Guwahati Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar on Thursday inspected the Khanapara Parade Ground as the Independence Day is round the corner and preparation is going on full swing. The Commissioner said that the ULFA threatens to attack on the I-Day and therefore security will be tightened so that no untoward incident could take place.
Deepak Kumar, while speaking to media said that there will be nine CCTV cameras in the ground and they will install more cameras if required. He said that 3 levels of security have been arranged at Khanapara as the ULFA threatened to attack on the Independence Day.
Kumar further informed that tight security has been arranged as many areas in Guwahati have been identified as vulnerable.
Kumar also speaks about the Rukminigaon incident where a girl has been attacked by some miscreants on Wednesday. He said that the incident has come to light and that police have apprehended Sunit Goswami, the lover of Devina.
The police commissioner informed that Devina was attacked with some hammer like arms.
Talking about the Kritika-Karabi suicide case of Bhangagarh, the Commissioner said that the lover of Karabi, Rhituporno Das has been arrested. He also informed that Karabi was suffering from physical and mental torture.
Kumar also informed that police have arrested two persons from Bihar in relation to the dance troupe of Assam who was rescued from Bihar. The dance troupe who was taken to Bihar for dance performance was forced to dance in Bhojpuri songs. The arrested youths are Raju Parel and Sabita Barely. The Bihar police have lodged suo moto cases against the youths and arrested them.
