At least seven people were killed when a bus ran over a group of pilgrims who were sleeping along the roadside in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Friday morning.
The deceased include four women andthree children.
According toreports, the victims were headed to Naraura ghat in Bulandshahr to take a dipin the Ganga and were resting along the roadside when the accident took place.
The bus wasfull of pilgrims who were returning from Vaishno Devi.
The busdriver is learnt to have fled the accident scene.
