“We are committed to implementing CAB” : Modi


After addressing the mass rally in Mangaldoi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Silchar on Thursday afternoon to blow the poll bugle for ongoing General elections.

Addressing a crowd of supporters, the Prime Minister said that “We are committed to implementing Citizen Amendment Bill. But we will consult with the all the communities of the society”.

“The first phase of voting is taking place in some parts of the country today. As of now, the ‘Modi government’ is seeing a strong wave once again”: PM Modi

“NDA will win all five seats of Assam on which voting is underway today in the first phase of election” : PM Modi

“Congress has a history of creating trouble. In 1947, the country was divided on the basis of religion but they failed to think about the minority in Pakistan. The persecuted Hindus and Sikhs are now taking refuge in India. They have now become stateless”: PM Modi

“We are committed to balanced development of Assam. We have worked on improving the connectivity of Assam. The work is in progress for building a Mini Secretariat in Silchar”: PM Modi

On the other hand, reacting to Modi’s election rallies in the state, veteran Congress leader-cum-former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi has alleged that Modi’s visit to the state for campaigning on polling day is a violation of the model code of conduct (MCC).
