Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had assured RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, that the NRC in Assam will have no impact on genuine citizens and there is no need to be worried about it.
"The state government will take all possiblesteps to help genuine Indians prove their citizenship, no one should panic.Government is here to take care of everyone" Sonowal said.
The Chief Minister gave theassurance at a meeting with RSS Chief Bhagwat at Keshav Niketon in Silchar onthe sidelines of the concluding function of Poshan Abhiyan on Saturday.
CM Sonowal met RSS Chief MohanBhagwat, during the concluding function of Poshan Abhiyan at Silchar. Bhagwatarrived at Silchar in Cachar district of the Barak Valley on Friday on athree-day tour.
