The Gauhati high court on Tuesday started its hearing process in regards to a PIL, filed by the suspended officials involved in the APSC scam.
After the completion of first-day hearing, Advocate Nalin Kohli clearly said that "The sacked officers involved in the APSC scam won't get back their jobs. The state and the central government are really serious about uprooting corruption."
It may be mentioned that the suspended officials had filed a PIL at the Gauhati High Court requesting them to be allowed to resume office.
Two senior advocates of the Supreme Court Maninder Singh and Nalin Kohli have fought the legal battle on behalf of the government.
A GHC bench headed by Justice N Koteshwar Singh posted the matter for further hearing on July 30.
