BJP MP RP Sarma, who is known for his controversial remarks has now made another controversial statement, which has rocked the BJP leadership in the state. Amid the speculation that MP RP Sarma may be denied the BJP ticket from Tezpur Loksabha constituency, Sarma said that he would leave the party, if someone gets the Tezpur ticket.
The BJP leader broke down during an interview. The miffed BJP veteran RP Sarma is likely to resign from the party if he doesn't get the ticket.
According to sources, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is likely to contest from the constituency in the coming general election. Reacting to the report, RP Sarma said that it will not be easy for Himanta Biswa Sarma to win the constituency. He also added that he is the only person, who can manage the victory from the constituency.
It may be mentioned that his remarks on various issues which have not been liked by some party leaders- RP Sarma added.
