In a sensational Facebook post, Assam's Singing Sensation Zubeen Garg has accepted that the voice in the viral video in which he was seen singing "Politics Nokoriba Bandhu" (Don't do politics, friend) and abusing "Bharat Ratna" by using unparliamentary words belongs to him.

I m tired of th constant attempt of yours to destroy me. I have never betrayed anyone, never destroyed anyone, never deprived – then when it comes to me, why you try to tear me apart! You can't. I m strong. I stand on my own. I never begged. What I became I became on my own. What I had I gave all to my own people.
Yes that was my voice. I don't deny. I have that courage to say. Yes I said it. But why I said it? Why after 8 years they will use his name to motivate us politically? Why this sudden love? He is beyond that. He lives with us. He should have got it 10 years back when he was alive. When he was alone, who stood with him?
Why suddenly they gave this to him? To suppress the protest against Citizenship Amendment Bill? You should know it. Bhupen Mama is a gift, not a tool to be used for their political motivation.

Earlier on Saturday an FIR was filed by Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Hojai Districts Kisan Morcha secretary, Satya Ranjan Borah at Lanka Police station for disrespecting the "Bharat Ratna Award " conferred to Bhupen Hazarika and the singing sensations discourteous behavior at public stage.
The singer has been making headlines recently and has been vocal against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
