Assam heartthrob Zubeen Garg praised Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) chief Akhil Gogoi for his effort of collecting and boosting more than 500 varieties of wild orchids gathered from different parts of North East India at the Kaziranga National Orchid Park.
Visiting the Orchid Park, near Kohora, on Friday night, Zubeen witnessed medical herbal plant garden, fruit garden, flower garden, rock garden, rice museum and photo gallery inside the park. “It is a commendable effort by the members of Orchid Park led by Akhil Gogoi,” said Zubeen, adding, “I am amazed to witness the traditional as well as ecotourism environment in the park.” He further thanked the KMSS chief for the steps that the latter has taken to add a new dimension to the glory and pride of Kaziranga National Park.
The singer also enjoyed a cultural programme arranged at the Centre for Folk-Cultural practices inside the park. The artists of the park performed at the cultural programme.
