306 Schools to be Provincialized: Siddhartha Bhattacharyya
Assam Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharyya on Wednesday announced that 306 lower and upper primary schools will be provincialized.
The government has also decided 2515 posts of teachers will also be provincialized. This was announced by the education minister on the ongoing Assam Assembly session.
The legislative assembly also welcomes the move of the education department. The education minister further stated that the teachers’ posts will be provincialized in the current financial year.
Bhattacharyya also said that the teachers who don’t have the eligibility will have to acquire the qualification adding that they will get five years’ time to attain their qualification.
The minister further added that it is compulsory to attain the qualification within the stipulated time and if they can’t acquire the qualification then they should serve as a tutor.
He said that if the teachers can’t acquire their qualification then they should serve as tutors till their retirement.
