Five Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliatory firing by the Indian Army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tangdhar sector on Sunday.
The development came after Pakistani troops allegedly violated the ceasefire in the same sector in the Kupwara district on Sunday morning. They were allegedly attempting to push a group of militants into J&K from the Pakistani side.
As per the reports, the Indian Army resorted to heavy artillery fire targetting several terrorist camps along the LoC.
“Indian forces caused heavy damages and casualty to Pakistan,” the Indian Army was quoted as saying by ANI.
