91 Parliamentary constituencies, which is spread over 20 states and union territories, have fastened their belts to go polling tomorrow for the first phase of the Lok Sabha Elections.
25 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, eight in Uttar Pradesh; seven in Maharashtra; five each in Uttarakhand and Assam; four each in Bihar and Odisha; two each in Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and West Bengal; and one each in Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep will cast their votes in this phase.
To ensure smooth and fair polling, security has been tightened in all polling areas. Security forces have held flag marches in sensitive areas.
It may be noted that liquor shops have been directed to remain shut till the end of polling and interstate borders with Delhi, Haryana and Uttarakhand have also been sealed ahead the LS Polls.
