Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said, "Ab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar," while welcoming US President Donald Trump for the 'Howdy, Modi!' event at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. He also hailed US President Trump's leadership.
Modifying the 'Ab Ki Baar ModiSarkar' slogan of BJP in the 2014 general election campaign, PM Modi vouchedfor Trump ahead of 2020 presidential polls. "We in India connected well with PresidentTrump and with the words of candidate Trump, 'Ab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar', rangloud and clear," said Modi.
Mayor of Houston, SylvesterTurner, presented PM Narendra Modi with the key to the city of Houston. Thegesture was made in recognition of the exceptional relationship shared betweenthe people of India and Houston.
It may be mentioned here that PMModi arrived in the US for a week-long visit on Saturday. The 'Howdy, Modi!'event is being attended by an audience of close to 50,000.
