Adil Hussian starrer short film 'Meal' has been selected at the prestigious 44th Odense International Film Festival (OFF), the oldest international short film competition of Denmark.

Directed and written by Abhiroop Basu, 'Meal' also stars Ratnabali Bhattacharjee and Arun Mukhopadhyay in pivotal roles. It is the only entrant from India.

'Meal's story revolves around a deranged family.
It may be mentioned here that OFF began in 1975 and takes place every year in the last week August.
This weeklong short film festival is an Academy Award-Qualifying short film festival.
This year, all total 121 short films have been selected under various categories.
The total entrants were 3264.
The festival will begin on August 26, 2019 and end on September 1, 2019.
It is worth mentioning here that so far 'Meal' has created waves at various international film festivals, which include- 9th New York Indian Film Festival 2019, International Film Festival of South Asia (Toronto 2019), Filmstrip International Film Festival (Romania 2019), DadaSaheb Phalke Film Festival 2019 and Arizona International Short Film Festival.
Notably, Meal is also in the Official Competition at Ottawa Indian Film Festival 2019, which begins from June 11-15 next at Ottawa.
