Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar posted a cryptic tweet which sparked speculation in election season. Media reports suggest that he may join politics.On Monday morning, the actor took to social media and posted that he's set to enter an "unknown" and "uncharted" territory.
Sharing that he's both excited and nervous as he embarks on something that he's never done before, Akshay asked his fans to stay tuned for further updates. His tweet read as, "Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today. Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both. Stay tuned for updates."
But soon after his tweet, several Twitter users began to wonder if the actor's tweet hinted at him joining politics. While many of them asked if he's stepping foot in politics, many others began to speculate as to which political party he'd contest for, if at all, he does.
Akshay, however, put an end to all rumours and speculation within hours of the tweet. Clarifying that he isn't contesting elections, Akshay expressed gratitude towards his fans for showing interest in his previous tweet.
He tweeted, "Grateful for all the interest shown in my previous tweet but just clarifying in light of some wild speculation, I am not contesting elections."
