A Rajasthan court on Wednesday acquitted all six accused of Pehlu Khan lynching case. All of them were seen dragging Pehlu Khan on the road, punching and kicking him. Khan’s sons survived the beating but Khan succumbed to his injuries.
However, the court acquitted them on the benefit of doubt. As per court reports, the video evidence was not admissible.
It may be mentioned here that Pehlu Khan was lynched in April 2017. He was confronted by a group of cow vigilantes, while he was transporting cows. The cow vigilantes thrashed him along with his sons.
Later police had arrested six people in connection with the case under Sections 147, 323, 341, 302, 308, 379 and 427 of the IPC.
