Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday took stock of the flood situation in Assam in a telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
The Chief Minister has given a detailed report of the current scenario of the devastating floods in the state’s Brahmaputra and Barak valley.
Speaking on the measures taken by the state government, Sonowal informed the Union Minister that the administration has been ordered to be on alert. He also added that the flood affected people have been granted compensation and gave an elaborate update about the rescue operations of those who have been affected by the floods.
Amit Shah had assured of all necessary assistance to the state government in order to battle the devastating flood situation.
