Parents get award for naming baby after KFC Founder

KFC has awarded the parents of a newborn girl in the US $11,000 (over Rs8 lakh) for naming her Harland Rose, after KFC's Founder Colonel Harland David Sanders.

The baby was born on September 9, the birthday of KFC's Founder. The prize money of $11,000 was inspired by 11 herbs and spices used by KFC.

The parents have become international headlines for their love for fast-food restaurant chain KFC.

And their love for the brand has been rewarded in the best possible way.

The parents, both die-hard fans of KFC, wanted to name their baby after something they both liked. So, they decided to go with the name of the founder, Colonel Harland Sander.
