Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condoled thedemise of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. The PM called him a "powerhouse of talent".

"Multifaceted, endearing and lively…this was RishiKapoor Ji. He was a powerhouse of talent. I will always recall ourinteractions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India'sprogress. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. OmShanti," Tweeted PM Modi.

Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind also took toTwitter and wrote, "Rishi Kapoor's untimely demise is shocking. An evergreenpersonality with an always smiling face, he was so full of life that it'sdifficult to believe that he is no more. A huge loss for the entertainmentindustry. Let us pray for his soul. Condolences to his family and friends."

Similarly, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members, friends and legions of his fans across the country. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also condoled the demise of the actor.

On the other hand, sharing an old picture with Rishi Kapoor, singer Lata Mangeshkar stated that she had no words to express her feelings.
