The Switzerland authorities are planning to install a statue of veteran Hindi film actor, late Sridevi, whose Superhit movie "Chandni" was shot at the country's picturesque locations.

The statue of the renowned filmmaker, Yash Chopra, is already there. It was unveiled in Interlaken in 2016.

Official said the 1989 blockbuster 'Chandni' had also put Switzerland on centre stage as almost half the song and dance sequences in the film had a Swiss backdrop.

After seeing the amount of fame Sridevi's Superhit movie gave to this country, Switzerland tourism industry is now planning to install her statue in order to pay heed to her contributions.
