Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi, during a press meet on Sunday, informed that KMSS along with Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) shall organise a protest rally against the Raha Toll Gate on July 22.

Addressing media persons, Akhil Gogoi said "KMSS had closed down four toll gates in the state long back in 2015. However, nobody thanked us then. The public was relieved of crores in the name of tax. But now, three toll gates are being reopened."

"I want to ask where are the so-called organisations now. Even the media has not raised the issue as such. Except for Pratidin, no other media house has given the issue the importance that should have been given. Where have the NGOs and civil society gone now?" added Gogoi.

Gogoi questioned "Without an alternate route, how was a toll gate constructed?"

The KMSS leader further urged the public to come out and support them in the protest rally.
