ARUNACHAL | 45 stranded passengers evacuated

As many as 45 stranded passengers, 21 vehicles including state transport buses were evacuated by a government rescue team-led by Circle Officer Bhalukpong Topek Kakki, Inspector Duto Bagra. They covered a distance of 20 km on foot and successfully evacuated 45 people.

The state transport buses plying between Thrizino and Tezpur were stranded between Sessa and Zero point.

With men and machines from the BRTF, minor blockades were cleared and the people evacuated on transshipment to Bhalukpong by the BRO trucks after traversing 10 km on foot.

The stranded vehicles are still at Sessa as the portion of the road has been completely washed out at Suppari point. The connectivity could be restored in a couple of days if the weather improves.
