Chirang reels under sudden flood

The AaiRiver in Chirang witnessed a sudden rise in the water level after heavy rainsin Bhutan in the wee hours of Tuesday. The rise has led to flood in severalareas located near the river.

The rain waters, which flowed from the neighbouring country, has jeopardized lives of many by flooding the nearby villages.

EastDababil, Madapur and Debarbil among others are now engulfed by Aai waters. Morethan hundreds are now stranded in the sudden floods. Along with the people,lives of cattle are also at risk.

With eachpassing moment the water level of the Aai is only rising.
