CM hails Uttam, who saved two from drowning

AssamChief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday took to Twitter to praise a ladfrom Missamari area under Sonitpur district. Sonowal praised the lad,identified as Uttam Tati, who saved a mother and one of her child from drowningin a river in Sonitpur district on Sunday.

Asper the reports, the incident took place when woman along with her two childrenwere crossing the river. However, the trio started to drown due to suddenincrease in the level of water in the small river. Meanwhile, witnessing thesequences, Uttam wasted no time and jumped in the river to their rescue.

"No words would be enough for the courageous act done by 11-year-old Uttam Tati of Missamari, Sonitpur. He saved the life of a woman and her child who fell into a river. Hats off to his bravery!" tweeted Sonowal.
