Cyclone Bulbul: IMD predicts rainfall in Assam

In the wake of Cyclone Bulbul, the IndiaMeteorological Department (IMD) said that light to moderate rainfall is likely atmany places over south Assam and Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram.

Meanwhile, cyclonic storm Bulbul has crossed the WestBengal coast with a maximum wind speed of 110-120 km per hour gusting up to 120km per hour into Bangladesh. Cyclone Bulbul is likely to weaken into a deepdepression during the next few hours.

According to Bangladesh's disaster managementministry, 5,00,000 people have been evacuated from the country's coastal region.
