Dacoits attack, rob businessman in Nagarbera

A businessman in Nagarbera's Bhakhuradia  was brutally attacked by a gang of four dacoits in the wee hours of Monday.

The businessman named Rejja Amir Ali was attacked while was returning home from his office after collecting cash against his consignment.

Ali was attacked with sharp weapons that severely injured his head and arms and the gang looted the cash.

Ali was rushed to the nearest hospital but was later referred to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital  (GMCH) where he is undergoing treatment.

The locals nabbed two of the gang members named Rahul Amin of Bhakhuradia and Sofikul Islam of Rangia, when they tried to flee. Other two named Sofikul Islam and Abdul Jalal managed to escape and are still on the run.

The Tupamari Police have also ceased two bikes used in the dacoity.
