Deity survives as flood rages

In the deluge, all area surrounding Shukleswar Mandir in Guwahati has been submerged; but surprisingly, a sculpture of Hindu deity sitting on Sheshnag has been saved.

It was found that huge stones came floating with water and got positioned at a distance of few feet on the front side of the sculpture. It was found that no damage has been caused to the statue. 

The sculpture is placed on a vertical pillar within the Brahmaputra river. The sculpture gave the impression to get on the verge of drowning because the water level crossed the danger mark following downfall within the region.
