Gautam Roy quits Congress

With what seems like the storm for Congress is not over, senior party leader Gautam Roy has officially quit the party today and is likely to join BJP.

Theveteran Congress leader has sent his resignation letter to the party's state headRipun Bora.

"I officially quit Congress today. Tomorrow everyone will come to know as to when I will join BJP", said the former minister.

Roy informed, "I will join BJP alone, and have not discussed it with others". "I am in good terms with Narendra Modi and have also spoken with BJP state head Ranjit Das", he added.

Praising Modi, the leader stated that for 30 years it was the votes of the Hindu that kept him winning and so he has been attracted towards Hindutva.

Another veteran Congress leader, who quit the party, joined BJP at the party headquarters last evening.
