Ghy-Southern India train services resumes

A sigh of relief forthose Assam's rail passengers stranded in Puri as the Northeastern FrontierRailway (NFR) has informed that train services will resume between Guwahati andthe southern part of the country.

Today a train willleave for Guwahati from Puri at around 3 PM.

Train services weretemporarily shut down due to the Extreme severe cyclonic storm Fani which haddevastated parts of Odisha leaving more than thousands homeless.

It may be noted thatthere were several special trains provided to bring the state's tourists, strandedin cyclone hit Odisha, safely back home. Although a few are still stuck in thatarea, most of them have returned safely.
