A bad news has come to Assamese film industry on Monday morning. Renowned Assamese actor Guna Mahanta is no more. He was suffering from heart disease and neurological disorder for last few years. Mahanta's health condition was critical in the morning.

He had been brought to GD hospital in Nagaon, however Guna Mahanta breathed his last breath when he was in route. Mahanta acted in more than 50 Assamese films and TV serials.
He acted in many popular Assamese films like Kanyadaan, Adhinayak,Ujonir dujoni gabhoru etc.
