Jailed KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi’s health deteriorates

Jailed RTI activist and peasant leader of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) Akhil Gogoi have fallen severely ill.

It is to be noted, Gogoi is in judicial custody and is currently in Guwahati Central Jail. Gogoi has been suffering from fever and cold for the past few days.

Gogoi has filed a plea in the court requesting his immediate treatment.

Several prisoners of the central jail in Guwahati have already tested positive for coronavirus.
