KMSS, SMSS launch protest against privatisation of oil fields

The process of privatisation of the profitable oil fields is going on in full swing. Once again union Petroleum Ministry has called for tenders for the auction of seven ONGC oil fields.

From now on OIL, ONGC and the people of Assam will not have any franchise over these fields.

On the other hand, constant protests are going on in Duliajan against the government's decision to privatise Oil India Limited's profitable oil fields.

Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) and Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) have been continuously protesting in Jorajan, Duliajan. These organisations have declared series of protests against this decision of the Centre.

According to reports, both the organisations under the leadership of Akhil Gogoi will stage protest in front of OIL's main administrative office.
