Lakhimpur Congress candidate Anil Borgohain’s Nomination Adjourned

In a major jolt the Congress party, the nomination of its candidate for Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat, Anil Borgohain, has been adjourned during the scrutiny process on Tuesday. The Election officials have adjourned his nomination till 5PM on Wednesday.

He has been asked to submit more valid documents till 5PM on Wednesday and thereafter his nomination could be accepted or rejected, informed an official.

On the other hand, reacting to the development, AICC secretary Bhupen Borah slammed BJP of controlling the democratic organizations in the country.

According to reports, the nominations of Tezpur's Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) and All India Hindustan Congress Party candidates have been rejected by the Election officials.
